This cutting board comes with a groove around the perimeter.  This prevents juices from meats, or juices from vegetables from spilling onto the counter or tabletop.  Maples hardness can stand up to heavy use.  The size is a great fit for overall use.

Use and Care:

•  Do not clean in the dishwasher, or submerge in water.  Rather clean this board with a cloth or     sponge, or lightly rinse with water and soap.
• Oil board before use, and regularly after initial application with a wood conditioner or mineral oil
• Allow the board to dry evenly after cleaning, we recommend standing the board on edge to ensure even drying
