Walnut has a good hardness level and can withstand heavy use.  Aesthetically walnut is our favorite.  While walnut can hold up well to heavy use, it will not outlast maple.  Walnut is slightly softer which means if selecting walnut, the visual look of the board should be one of your key considerations.

Use and Care:

•  Do not clean in the dishwasher, or submerge in water.  Rather clean this board with a cloth or        sponge, or lightly rinse with water and soap.
• Oil board before use, and regularly after initial application with a wood conditioner or mineral oil
• Allow the board to dry evenly after cleaning, we recommend standing the board on edge to ensure even drying
